High Uintas - Little East Fork of the Blacks Fork
This weekend, Bryan, Corey, and I (this is Eric writing) went on a little backpacking trip to the Little East Fork of the Blacks Fork in the High Uintas Wilderness. We hiked about 6 miles each day and saw some amazing scenery. We also caught a few fish. The weather was a little cold and we awoke to frost and frozen water bottles this morning. Despite the cold weather, we had a great time.
There were a ton of water crossings. There was water everywhere. This was one of the easier ones.
Bryan bringing in what I believe to be a Tiger Trout (cross between a Brook and Brown trout) on one of the high unnamed lakes. This lake sits at around 11,200 feet and it was freezing. We only caught 1 Brook Trout and a few Tiger Trout. We didn't fish for very long before we decided to head to lower elevation in search of warmer temperatures.
